Hi everyone! How is it already December?! I feel like I was just writing my October Mini Review! Since it’s the first of the month, this week’s post is my November Mini Review! I read four books this month. I started the month by re-reading The Hungers Games for the book vs movie comparison I posted earlier this month. Then I ended the month finishing A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series. I reviewed the first book in last month’s review and even though I read the second book last month, I’m going to review the whole series below. Along with a new favorite romance book! I hope you enjoy my November Mini Review!
Synopsis: Russ Callaghan and Aurora Roberts both go to Maple Hills and after a chance meeting at a party they have a passionate one-night stand. But Aurora slips out before Russ has the chance to ask her out. They never think they’ll see each other again, but suddenly they’re both camp counselors at the same camp. Both hoping for a fresh start and to escape for the summer. The biggest rule at camp is “no staff fraternizing” and Russ can’t afford to lose this job, but Aurora has never been one to care about the rules. Will they be able to work together as friends or was their one-night stand the spark to a fire they can’t put out?
I read Hannah Grace’s other book, Icebreaker and absolutely loved it! So when I saw she came out with another book following one of the characters from Icebreaker, I knew I needed to read it! I love this book as well! This book is on the spicier side, not too much, but more than one chapter’s worth, so if you like a clean romance, this is not the book for you. One of my least favorite troupes when reading romance is the miscommunication troupe. This book does have that, but it was resolved efficiently! I just really loved the storyline and development of the characters! The epilogue was super cute as well!

Overall thoughts on the series: This was a fantastic series! I highly recommend it! Every book kept me guessing, however, there were a few things I caught on to, but then bam there would be a big twist! I read the first book in almost one sitting, it kept me hooked the whole time! I wrote all my thoughts about the first book in last month’s mini review. The second book was good, but not as good as the first. I was not expecting the ending though! Lastly, the third book. Wow this one! It perfectly ties all three books together and left me in complete shock. I was halfway through it and I was like “There’s no way, there’s still half a book to read! What is going to happen now!” This is a great YA mystery, thriller series and I think everyone should read it!

Ooh, I’ll have to read these!!
AGGtM is just written so well! Every line builds suspense and Holly Jackson does an jc edible job of building the characters. So good! It’s the series that got me back into reading and I haven’t looked back since.
