Hi everyone! Happy Fall! Tomorrow is the first official day of my favorite time of year, Fall. I thought it would be great to share some Book Recommendations for Fall and some books I’m hoping to read this year!
Mystery & Thriller Book Recommendations for Fall
Verity – Coleen Hoover
When Lowen Ashleigh accepts a position as a ghostwriter for bestselling author Verity Crawford, who is unable to finish her successful series due to her injuries, she never expects to be drawn into a horrifying secret. Hired by Verity’s husband Jeremy, Lowen goes to live at the Crawford’s house to read through Verity’s notes and start writing the next book. The Sun Down Motel – Simone St. James

Young Adult Book Recommendations for Fall
One of Us is Lying – Karen M. McManus
Five students arrived at detention on Monday afternoon. The brain, Bronwyn; the beauty, Addy; the criminal, Nate; the athlete, Cooper; and the outcast, Simon. Except before detention ends Simon ends up dead. As his death is investigated it is determined that it was not an accident, and the 4 students in detention are the main suspects. Did one of them actually do it or is the killer still on the loose?
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children – Ransom Riggs
After a tragedy, sixteen-year-old Jacob journeys to a mysterious island, where he discovers the abandoned orphanage of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. Through a strange collection of vintage photographs, he discovers that the children were here for a reason. The more he explores the abandoned bedrooms and property the more it seems possible they are still alive.
Shiver Series – Maggie Stiefvater
Grace has grown up watching the wolves in her backyard. One wolf in particular, with yellow eyes, her wolf. One day Grace meets Sam, a yellow-eyed boy. Could he be her wolf? Sam lives two lives, one in the winter in the woods with his pack, and one as a human a few months a year. When Sam and Grace finally meet he wants to fight to stay human before he loses himself and the cold makes him shift back forever.
Numbers Series – Rachel Ward
Jem has a secret. As soon as she looks someone in the eye a number appears in her head. Their death date. Jem avoids becoming too attached because she carries this heavy burden. Then one day she meets Spider and takes a chance. They spend a day exploring London, ending up at the Eye Ferris wheel when all of a sudden everyone’s death dates show as today. Jem and Spider run away just before the explosion, but end up becoming suspects of this horrific event. They flee London to hide and hope for a better future, but Jem knows Spider’s death date and wants more than anything for his date to change.
