Hi everyone! Happy August! I didn’t read as many books as I wanted to in July, but I re-read one of my favorite books, which made me happy! I read 4 books in July and I’m going to be reviewing 2 of them. As I said before, I am not a tough book rater. Check out my June Mini Review to read my rating system. Something I forgot to mention in the last mini review is that I love to listen to music when reading. When I start a new book I look to see if there is a playlist to compliment the book on Spotify. I’ve included the playlists I listened to below. I hope you enjoy my July mini reviews!
Synopsis: Told over seven days in June with 20 years in-between, this story is about single mom and erotica writer, Eva Mercy and award-winning literary author Shane Hall. When they first meet as teenagers they spent one crazy week, madly in love. Then after one fateful night they don’t talk or see each other for 20 years. When Shane unexpectedly shows up at a literary event where Eva is speaking they must face their past trauma and undeniable chemistry they still have for each other. After writing to each other in their books will they be able to reconnect and heal? Trigger warning: abuse, self-harm, alcohol, drug addition
I picked up this book at my neighborhood Little Free Library after hearing good reviews about it. This book sucked me in on an emotional roller coaster. I enjoyed following the two story lines simultaneously and discovering what happened 20 years earlier. I highly recommend, if you like second chance romances!

Synopsis: Alex Claremont-Diaz is the First Son of the United States with a longtime nemesis, Prince Henry of Wales. When a confrontation between them at a royal wedding comes to light in the tabloids they must fake a friendship to keep the peace. However, as Alex spends more time with Henry he realizes that his hatred of him was love in disguise. They must decided if love is worth everything and how to fit into history. Incredibly swoon-worthy and charming with some spice!
This is my second time re-reading the book! I absolutely loved it the first time and enjoyed it just as much this time. One of my favorite tropes is enemies to lovers! I love how they are rivals who can’t stand to be in the same room to “I will protect you from everything” lovers. I was able to find the collector’s edition at Target at a discounted price and the design is so fun! Also there is an epilogue chapter all from Henry’s perspective that is amazing!
